You might find it useful to backup your Kodi configuration for several reasons: you want to make sure you don’t have to reconfigure everything from scratch in the event of a catastrophe, you’d like to clone your Kodi configuration from one device to another, or you wish to share your Kodi “build” with others.
We’ve now simplified the whole process, allowing you to backup your entire Kodi folder using our Indigo tool. It’ll only take a minute to save your backup, a minute that could save you a whole lot of time should something happen that causes your Kodi device to corrupt.
Step 1: Navigate to the PROGRAMS menu.
Step 2: Launch the Indigo tool.
Step 3: Click on the Backup / Restore function at the bottom of the menu listing.
Step 4: Click on the Select Backup Location button.
Step 5: Select the Choose Backup Store Location that displays Click Here to the right.
Step 6: Choose the file folder to which you want to save your backup.
Step 7: Click on the OK button to the right of the window.
Step 8: Click on the OK button at the bottom of the window.
Step 9: Choose the Full Backup option.
Step 10: Input a file name for your Kodi configuration backup.
Step 11: Wait a minute for the backup to process.
Step 12: Press the OK button once the backup process is completed.
It should be noted that we really would prefer that people not sell Kodi boxes preloaded with their Kodi builds.
