At first glance I thought you where advertising a new version of firestick :D but it is in the lap of the gods how your ISP controls your speeds and how Kodi converts it, example I use a very low down/up speed broadband while my brother boasts about his superfast network...
A html link and new coding as been added to the default.py to call all videos in an xml format (Title, Url, Image) to the "VIDEO" page.
Each html file allows working "video" titles to be added to the main window without adding more coding to the addon.
To add a new folder...
Welcome aboard looking forward to some chat between us, hope we get some of that lovely white stuff (seen in greektycoon welcome post, not the bear foam despite it being brewed with ice cool Canadian water) in the next few days as forecast by the Met Office.
Just add a "resoures" folder, within that folder I placed a "setting.xml" coded with a category label that opens the Configure option on the addon, hopefully from where I can call my html file or/and computer/TV Box based xml files) coded for each category onto the addon.
I'd love to product (program) an addon to show off 100s of family videos collected over the years, some dating back to the 20's in Belfast in N.Ireland, so far I'm using an addon that lists all my videos in one place, I've seen other addons that would do the job the way I like it...
Just a quick update for anyone trying this addon using their Kodi from windows 7:
I've been running tests on this addon and the previous one on my computer, each time I have to upload the addon through the install zip file format to check its progress then uninstall it and close...
I just done another test on an old TV Box which still has its 14.2 TVMC installed and the new addon works in it also.
If anyone wants to try it themselves follow the path from streamwatcher2013 link to the original addon (master won't work) I downloaded the 2015 version (1.0.1)...
That was quick, just add my path to the external system to the new default.py file: (see bold below)
Changing the name to default.py don't effect it working ok on the system, I just use the old "Notepad" method to edit things, so I simply open the files and used "Find" and type main, so it easy to change any main.py to default.py.
I suspect that some command files I'll...
Just disable updates, I disable my updates by going to Systems - Setting - Add-ons while in that window I use the left arrow on my TV Box mote which opens a side panel, I stroll down to Auto Updates and click ok until it states "Never".
The Addon you are unsure about is...
Great advice, I did what you said and made a fresh backup of my computer Kodi, removed the skin folder restored to the Box Kodi and everything is working, just did a cache clear out on Indigo for the first time. So now I know it works on a 4.4.2 setup.
Spoilsport :( The path you sent me on works great, downloaded the first "example" 1.0.1 as later ones only seem to work on 16+ Kodi, I was hoping to take a couple of weeks to make it work from scratch.
I just had to add the http path from one of my videos preloaded into...
Yes, they are missing, I'll delete the skin.confluence from the backup and try again, if it still shows the same after restore I'll find my way to the systems setting and see if it allows a different skin, if that fails I'll upload the Indigo on its own into the TV Box setup and...
