Tend to do the same, I found that even after upgrading equipment over and over, from minix, openelec on an Acer revo, to the fire tv, then shield, still I found that having a bulk of addons in the system still tends to break the setup making it basically unusable.
Best thing I did was to dump...
Yeah I seen the wetek in Openelec website before, but as far as I could gather, the pvr and kodi are two separate systems incorporated in one box,
I think kodi runs on Android but the pvr is ******2, which sounds a bit messy, if I understood correctly, you would need to boot out of kodi and...
Hey guys, has any if you guys got your paid subscription sly working with kodi pvr, I had been researching this a good start ago and tried it with mediaportal and a USB capture card but couldn't get it working, had lots of problems with acamd.
I did read about using Linux dvr for decrypting...
I did the same thing, configured it all, plugged it in to the primary router and, damn it!
Then I couldn't connect to the routers web client. That's when I unplugged it and changed the ip address, it was conflicting with the primary routers address.

Still none the wiser with this gui problem tho, so just started using kodi...
So, I've had to do a fresh start and populated kodi with the fire tv config wizard
(done this plenty of times before when things start going wrong) and started building up the home screen for easier access to what I use most.
Only problem is that when I restart kodi, it defaults...
Not sure how far you've gotten with this yet so here's a little info to get you started.
You need to get the router to connect to the internet when connected to your primary router before configuring your VPN.
to prevent ip clashes the vpn router ip must be changed, e.g. My primary router is...
Check on dd wrt website, I flashed a Netgear router last year for use as vpn router, as far as I can remember, once you flash, you cannot go back to the original firmware.
If you hard reset after flashing, it only resets to dd wrt default settings.
there will probably be better people on here to help you out than myself.
but as I see it, companies like RD do not want the trouble that comes with re sellers due to customer complaints being pointed towards them when things go wrong with the equipment sold.
I feel your pain though, especially...
