Millions of North American Households Use Kodi With Pirate Add-ons

So is there a way to turn off or block this "heartbeat" traffic that Kodi generates?

    MXPro Box

The default Kodi settings artificially limit bandwidth availability so it can't stream as fast as it should. Have a look at this post for a solution: RD buffering issues

    Thanks for Nothing

Not really, it can be quite helpful. The problems come in when people want instructions on how to do something that the site owner cannot legally allow to be discussed on the site. So only vague hints can be provided and some people get mad. The problem is they are getting mad at the people...

    Real Debrid links being ignored

You can't just arbitrarily change from one to the other. You have to use which ever one the specific add-on was designed for, OR you have to know how to edit the add-on code to change it over.

    Help with OTA Streaming solutions

OK so after doing lots of research and since I got no replies here, I came up with my own solution which I will document here just in case others would like to know. PREP: IF you are running this on a regular Windows PC then you can skip this step. IF you are running on Windows Server then this...

    Help with OTA Streaming solutions

I am looking for a way to connect an HD antenna to a tuner card in a media server (running MS Server 2012), then stream the live TV channels to various android boxes such as Fire TV, NVidia Shield, and generic Android boxes. I don't care about DVR ability, but a TV guide (at least 24 hours...

    Thanks for Nothing

Just check the periodic "Transparency Report: Blacklisted Kodi Addons and Developers". A new one is released "once per season". Here is the most recent (April 1st 2018). I assume I can link this since it is an OFFICIAL TVAddons news page. https://www.tvaddons.co/blacklisted-addons-spring2018/

Mi Box best bang for your buck

Amazon Fire TV V2 is a great little box. V3 is a piece of trash and not worth buying IMHO. The V3 is supposedly slightly faster than the V2 but they removed everything that made the V2 great. The V3 Fire TV "Box" IS a GREAT upgrade from a Fire TV "Stick" but it's 3 steps backward from a Fire TV...

    Small pc

IMHO (unless you plan on using it for gaming) a standard Android device for half the price or even less will work just fine for streaming. A PC based device will also work, but I dislike Windows 10 on a HTPC because of all the "services" (Telemetry, forced updates, Superfetch, built in AV, etc.)...

Did mhancoc7 pull his whole repo?

Awesome. Thanks Eleazar! Cute kitten BTW, looks a lot like mine did when it was a kitten.

Did mhancoc7 pull his whole repo?

I just went to GitHub to check for updates and the whole repo seems to be empty. Are these addons (specifically USTVCatchup) now dead, did they move to a different repo, or is something going on with GitHub? https://github.com/homem43/repository.mhancoc7.public-0.1.2.zip-

    kodi 18 and APK files

All XBox systems run a special version of the Windows operating system, so you will never be able to install an APK file on them. APK files only work on android and android derivative devices such as FireTV and NVidia Shield. The only way to play android players on an Xbox is to cast it from an...

What is the 2018 newest and best device to buy to watch kodi

When you say your box "was not the latest up to date box i thought it was" if you are just talking about the Kodi version, you can update that yourself. Maybe you don't even need a new box. If you mean it does not properly play the content you are trying to watch, then you should look for a new...

If I use Nvidia Shield TV for Kodi, will all the video/audio benefits be lost?

Running Netflix or Amazon Prime, etc. on anything other than "approved" devices will get reduced service even if the hardware supports 4k and Dolby 5.1 or even 7.1. So how do devices get "approved"? Why, licensing fees, of course. So it's not so much a benefit as it is extortion. Kodi does not...

    RD buffering issues

So after spending a lot of time digging, hunting and experimenting. I finally found a solution, at least for me. It turns out that Kodi was artificially limiting the available bandwidth it was able to use. The solution is to create a file called "advancedsettings.xml" in the "\Kodi\userdata"...

    Real Debrid HD Links

I was having the same problem with all links, even RD links buffering and watching the network speed they never topped 2 MBps which is obviously too slow. I didn't have this problem on older versions of Kodi/XBMC. Even asking on these forums NO ONE had any idea why. I spent a lot of time...
