What are you doing for NetFlix now? That's the only thing I still need to get after installing this mod.

    [HOWTO] XBMC Gotham/Helix/Kodi Launcher Mod

I have an Asus wireless ac Gigabit router. I get killer speeds with that thing. That might be why it worked for me.

Okay, thanks. I'm making a backup using adbFire. Is that going to be okay? It's taking forever to make the backup, is that normal?

"You will need to uninstall the official XBMC apk before proceeding" Do I just uninstall XBMC? Why does it say XBMC apk?

    Upgrade from 51.1.0.1?

I bought a FTV that's on 51.1.0.1. I rooted it, and added XBMC, which is all I use it for. Is there any benefit to unlocking the bootloader, and upgrading the firmware?

No, you will always need the SD card. That would be like removing your operating system from your PC.

    Raspberry Pi or android box?

That's the deal breaker for me. In today's day and age, a surround sound system is a must, and if I can't get DTS or DD, then those things are useless. Does anyone still listen to audio through their TV speakers anymore? If they do, they probably still have a flip phone too.

    MPEG4 problems

What player does XBMC use by default? Is it a built in player, or is it using WMP?

    MPEG4 problems

I just installed XBMC on my daughter's Windows 7 Dell laptop so she can watch some movies in her room. When I go on Ic*f*lms, every movie plays perfectly, even the 720p movies. The only thing it's not playing, are MPEG4's. They are very laggy and choppy. Do I need to download a codec maybe? They...

    OUYA vs Pi

I wasn't trying to argue with you. I was just saying I have never had any problems with audio so far. I had an HTPC before the Pi, and I have yet to find a reason to go back to the HTPC.

    OUYA vs Pi

SPDIF is pretty obsolete with HDMI carrying the audio signal. I've watched tons of movies, and haven't had any struggles with my Pi decoding DTS or Dolby Digital.

    OUYA vs Pi

Where does it lack in audio? I haven't run into any issues.

    OUYA vs Pi

Trogggy, what is it with these people trying to say the Pi is as much as the Ouya? And the statement saying you need "millions" of accessories, is just plain stupid. I would bet money, that the average person, at the very least, would have an old SD card, and a phone charger, laying around. Any...

    OUYA vs Pi

For me, no DTS passthrough was the deal breaker. I have about $3k invested in Home Theater equipment, so DTS is a must.

    OUYA vs Pi

That's why I went with the Pi.
