I have a USB flash drive, and USB external drive attached to my Android box. I have ENABLED downloads, and selected 1 of these devices for the storage location, however they do not write. The files appear to download, but do not actually appear on the drive afterwards. The box is NOT rooted, and I just want to be able to write/delete files from the drives via KODI. Any help would be most appreciated.
I am running Android 7 with KODI 17.6

As far as I know "root" is your only option.
Magisk seems to be the go to app for this these days.
But as for which module you need to install after root, I'm not sure. But it is the write access one.

I would be very interested in a solution to this. I previously had a Q box running Android 9, and had no problem writing to any/all of the USB drives I had attached. Could delete move etc via Kodi.

Upgraded to T95 box with Android 10, even after enabling rename and delete in Kodi, setting download location to the USB's, nothing actually writes. If I remember correctly, I had to enable write access with a 3rd party app, which gave me the allow access dialog which fixed it. Any help most appreciated
