Hi,

You can test your JSON command in your web browser, just paste your JSON command where you usually type the URL

By example, this command from the favourites.xml, can be translated into JSON like this and this syntax in multiple lines is the syntax to use in IFTTT Webhooks, where server is your ip address reported by whatisyouripaddress.com:

http://server:8080/jsonrpc?request={
"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Addons.ExecuteAddon","params":{
"wait":false,"addonid":"plugin.video.addon","params":{
"action":"tvshows","url":"trending"
}
},"id":2
}

Here is the syntax from the favourites.xml (you right click an item in your addon and choose "Add to favourites" menu option and it is located in userdata folder) :

<favourite name="People" thumb="/Users/me/Library/Application Support/Kodi/addons/script.addon.artwork/resources/media/addon/people.png">ActivateWindow(10025,"plugin://plugin.video.addon/?action=tvshows&url=trending",return)</favourite>

This section from Favourites is what you need :

?action=tvshows&url=trending

This section is translated by you, into the following section, in your JSON command:

"params":{
"action":"tvshows","url":"trending"
}

That's it for now!
