Hi, yesterday I got a new amazon fire TV 4k (downloaded kodi 17.6) and installed ustv now(just the free version) however I'm having issues. When I go to play a live stream, the picture plays in slow motion, but the audio stays correct, eventually it realizes the picture is behind and will "seek" and jump ahead a few seconds, that will continue for a few minutes before both stop playing (but the counter keeps going as if it's still playing). The preferred playback method is selected as M3U8, I thought maybe that was the issue, however when I change it to mp4 (of any quality) it will not play at all.

Here is the log: https://paste.ubuntu.com/26462032

Thank you for any help!

It can be very hard to say what is causing this. I have actually been having issues with their streams lately. So it could be on their end.

I also see that you are not using the USTVnow Plus addon. You are actually using the USTVnow addon from here:
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=233135

You could install USTVnow Plus from the TVADDONS repo and see if you have the same issues.

Thanks for your reply, I did just install the ustvnow plus to see if I still have issues and I do. Its weird tho because I had it on my old box and which I was using up until the day before I set this one up and the add on was working fine. I don't use the add on often (I don't like the low quality lol), but my hubby likes to watch the news on it so he's annoyed that I got the fire TV when "the old box worked fine" lol

Interesting. So I have been noticing issues with USTVnow streams lately. However, nothing like you described.

Just wanted to post back that I seem to have fixed the issue, hardware acceleration was enabled and unclicking that seems to have fixed it.

Very glad you got it figured out. I may actually need to try that as I have been having odd issues lately myself.

Thanks for putting this in. For me I have disabled the hardware acceleration labled (Surface). I have also reset the HQ scalers to 0%. This seems to yield the best results on my Mi Box running Kodi 17. I am still trying things out, and I assume this will be very dependent on the hardware being used.

I have a question, I have an option to "allow hardware acceleration - mediacodec(surface)" and "allow hardware acceleration - mediacodec" since unclicking them both, live streaming on the ustvnow app has been working fine, but if I try to play a link that is an the x256 format, it plays like the live stream used to play. Should I not have disabled both hardware acceleration options?

To be honest I am not sure the hardware acceleration is really the issue. Well at least in my case I tried disabling one or both and things seemed better, but my issues came back. So hard to say if that really helps.
