I have my library set up so films show as collections but I would like to set up a few custom ones if possible

I had a quick go and managed to get them to show under the name I wanted
However no info was shown for the collection and also no artwork etc

Any step by step guides for simpletons

Are you files in your library stored in your local HDD or stored on a NAS? It has to do with the naming conventions. Have a look at this and this. It's pretty simple, but if you get stuck let me know.

Im still struggling and must be missing something

I can (just about) get the films I want to show under one collection by placing an NFO in each directory for each film, but I lack artwork and any detail when doing so. Collections that are added automatically by XBMC use artwork as the individual films do

Can anyone explain how I can create the two collections I want

Collection 1

All the Star Trek movies (XBMC automatically creates one for kirk era and one for Picard era films)

Collection 2

One for all the recent Marvel movies - starting around the original X-Men then listing the films in release order
