Thanks for the tip found it. I have a toshiba tv that as soon as I hook to the mxq it shuts off. Going to reboot a box with the 107k44 firmware and reply back.

The 107k44 firmware shuts down also. The one box I had firmware that didn't have the bright color web page. It has a bunch of white dots to click on for apps. Something before kitkat 4.4.2. Is there an earlier copy of android that will run the mxq? It is the black Ott box

Is it hard to load it and have a remote or wireless mouse to control it. I also thought jellybean 4.2.2. just need to know where to get the firmware. Can I take Jellybean 4.2.2 off a Matricom g box and then load it to an Ott MXq?

Which sd file did you write to the mxq? And you just had to flash a sd card firmware to the box sd method.

I could swear I've read this issue before and it had something to do with an option for Android TV remote being turned on, try looking around in the device settings (if you have another tv to use) for an option regarding this

Woodypecker, To install on SD-Card you MUST update WeTek's Android software to the latest OTA version first
I have the sd card file but what about , but what about the you must update WeTek android software to the latest OTA version first.
If it kitkat 4.4.2 or WeTeK Play - WeTek OS Android Update v.1.1.5, if the OS android how is it written the MXQ box?
Main reason is for kodi.

I went into the MXQ advanced settings and killed all the remote settings, android and google remote and everything and it still shuts down.
Went into settings in kodi and checked remote settings. No go. It is 64 bit processor. So Jelly Bean 4.2 64 bit, would it run the MXQ box or of course the openelectric. PLayed with setting in the toshiba tv no go.

Eldorado, you had it pegged. Turned remote on, CEC on so all four boxes for CEC turned on. All off the main android menu, settings, go to advance settings. Check the remote box and click on the CEC to open up and the turn on or off CEC. But on for my purposes.
I am still interested in openelec, hockey would be good ayy, Winnipeg Canada. Sweet

If you are still interested in openelec. Know that you will not be able to use your android apps as it will wipe it out.
Do some reading here.
