I followed a bunch of screen shots which were supposed to enable subtitles I downloaded that Opensubtitles. I thought I did every step but when I enter Ex**us and go to enable subtltes things are greyed out I cannot touch the options. I am trying to watch a movie that is Japanese so I really need the English subtitles

I have KODI 17.3

this is the first movie or series I have watched which I needed subtitles. I still get lost with in the Kodi 17 GUI

When I try and download subtitles I get this message box

Opensubtitles.org
Error searching for subtitles
Your Opensubtitles username or password is empty or not valid

You might need to create an account at opensubtitles.org and enter your credentials in the addon. Not sure, I don't use it but that's what it sounds like.

You should not install the opensubtitles from Kodi repository as it needs username/password

Instead install opensubtitles from Fusion/TVAddons respository and you are good to go as it does not need user/pass
