I'm new to Kodi so I apologize if I'm asking a newbie question. I recently bought a Fire TV for my mom and I installed Kodi & TV Addons on it, works like a charm. She then mentions to me that her sister has an android box and she would like the same Chinese live TV channels & Chinese movie channels that are installed on that box. I go to my aunts house (her sister) to check out the box and discover the location of the repo is here www(dot)xbmc.digiwizard(dot)net/repo). I tried to load the repo on my moms Fire TV but I get a script error and nothing loads.

Question is:
* Can an android tv box manufacturer limit the use of their repo to their branded boxes?
* If yes, is there a work around?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Fire and Android are two different boxes that require two different files.
You need a file for Amazon Fire. Go to Kodi and see if one is available under the Amazon Fire logo.
Fire does have plenty of addons for Asian tv,movies.
Hope this helps.

Wait, I thought Fire TV was Amazon's version of Android? Also, I'm trying to load a repository, does OS make even matter?
