Through my computer, I can either set IPVanish up through Windows Internet Options, so I can connect through the wireless internet access, or I can start it as a program and click on the "Connect" button. Through the Windows internet option method, I filled in a server in Atlanta. Run as a program, I can choose which server to go through easily. Is there a difference? Is one method preferred over the other?
I just got the TVAddons email, asking, "Is your IP Address Exposed"? I clicked on it, and was brought to the site, with "Yes, it is" which got my browser right, but my IP Address and physical location really wrong, so either the VPN is working fine or the site is just giving an ad. I have a question, though, probably a very ignorant one -- with the VPN, why can ads still follow me around the internet? Does the fact that they can indicate a problem.
