Hi all, i'm quite new with the whole android mini pc stuff, so please bare with me if i'm asking something noobish...
I've searched the archives but couldn't find anything helpful.

I've bought a Tronsmart T428 mini-pc, it's a quad core mini pc and it's supposed to be able to play 1080p videos without problems.

I flashed a Finless Rom 1.5A, installed the NEON Version of MX Player and then the latest stable release of XBMCANDROID.com's XAF custom build of XBMX (the set top box version).
Everything seems to be running fine, except i can't play 1080p files smoothly.

At first i tried playing files via a SMB share on my NAS but even SD movies were choppy (720p was unwatchable) so i tried using a USB drive connected to the thumb pc via a powered USB hub. SD works fine, 720p is ok, with some stuttering every now and then and 1080p is still too choppy to be considered watchable.

I tried both mkv (13300 Kb/sec) and mp4 files (a measly 2000 Kb/sec) but neither was ok.

I configured MX Player to use the H/W decoder.

Is there anything i can check or configure?

The same movies play nicely, via SMB, on both a Raspberry Pi and a WDTV Live.

Thanks for your help,
Marcello
