Hi guys,

I've been messing around with this for some time now. I remember I had full blown ubuntu desktop installed on my ATV before and I since took it off and am trying to get it back. I know there's this guide: https://code.google.com/p/atv-bootloader/wiki/InstallingLinux but I don't think I went through that amount of hassle before.

Then there's the atv-bootloader/netboot method here: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Archive:HOW-TO:Install_Ubuntu_and_XBMC_on_Apple_TV_1 No matter what I try with this method I get an error telling me /OSBoot can't be mounted. I even flashed the original OS back on and got the same error.

The second option seems to be the easiest out of these two, but I was advised to check here. Perhaps I'm missing out on an easier method, or maybe someone has come across the osboot issue I've been having and knows what to do.

thanks in advance!

Thanks for the offer, I can install both of those with no problems already though. I'm trying to install regular desktop ubuntu.
