I would point you to "The Little Black Box" also known as TLBB
Hi Mikey the only price I could find for TLBB was £99.99 on Amazon by the TLBB company. That being the case it puts it in the same price point to Ouya, please have a look at my comparison between the Ouya (effectively TLBB to since its price points I'm comparing) to NUC

would love your thoughts

Still curious why ebuyers advert says android 4.0 updated november 2012 , when the new stock of nano slims with samsung chipset were only produced June 2013 with updates after this date.

Maybe best to get an Ebuyer representative to clear the confusion before putting your money down..Ebuyer don't have the best rep for ease of returns...

G box Mx2 hands down. Working fine . My Atv 2 is collecting dust.
costs twice the Nano slim +, the OP just wanted the cheapest 1080p working box for kids room. But good to know that the G box Mx2 is another option :)

Somewhere In This Crazy World
I have used... and currently own 90% of these devices.

HANDS DOWN it is the OUYA

Best hardware/software/performance in my mind.

This device is now installed in every room of my house.

Update:
FOR ME ;) THAT IS

Opinions are like elbows... most of us have atleast one

I agree with umouch about the ouya, once they have their own xbmc and all addons work as they should and it doesnt crash but at the minute it still has issues to iron out.
