If you’ve been using Kodi on your Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick for quite some time now, chances are you have quite a few addons installed that you no longer need. Most beginners go ahead and install everything they can, only to find that installing too many Kodi addons will only slow your device. It’s never a bad idea to start fresh from time to time, configuring only the Kodi addons that you actually need, and forgetting the rest.
This procedure is quite easy and will allow you to clear your Kodi application data in a matter of minutes. Once you’ve completed the process and relaunch Kodi, you’ll find that it appears exactly as it did when you originally installed it. It will remove everything, including all Kodi addons and customizations, but not the Kodi app itself. This is your chance to reconfigure Kodi on your Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, the way you want it to be.
Step 1: Navigate to the Settings menu on your Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick.
Step 2: Click on the Applications icon.
Step 3: Select the Manage Installed Applications function.
Step 4: Scroll down to the Kodi (or SPMC) app.
Step 5: Click on the Clear data function.
Step 6: Click on Click data once again to proceed.
Step 7: You’re done! Return to your Amazon Fire TV home screen.
