Changing Language in Kodi (16.1 Jarvis or Below)

If your native language isn’t English, then there’s no reason not to choose a different language for your existing Kodi configuration. It’ll only take a second, with Kodi translated to over thirty languages!

It should be noted that most Kodi addons aren’t translated into different languages, so the menu structure of addons will likely continue to be displayed in English. As for content, changing the language in Kodi won’t make an English content addon suddenly display content in Spanish.

Required: Kodi 16.1 Jarvis or Below

Step 1: Navigate to the Settings tab under the SYSTEM menu.

You can always switch back to English if you decide that the language switch wasn’t for you. We’ve seen a lot of non native English speaking people remain on the default setting after getting so used to it.
