Once you already have your Kodi backup transferred to the device which you wish to restore to, our Indigo tool will handle the rest. Regardless of what’s on your Kodi backup or Kodi build, or how it was made, you’ll have no problem restoring it using this process.
It should be noted that using Kodi backups or Kodi builds that originate from unknown sources is quite risky, they could potentially contain trojan viruses, malicious coding, or Kodi addons from untrustworthy sources. You’ll also want to avoid restoring more than one backup over another.
Step 1: Navigate to the PROGRAMS menu.
Step 2: Launch the Indigo tool.
Step 3: Choose the Backup / Restore menu.
Step 4: Click on the Select Backup Location function.
Step 5: Click on the Choose Backup Storage Location field where it says Click Here to the right.
Step 6: Select the file folder location where you already have your backup saved.
Step 7: Click on the OK button to the right of the window.
Step 8: Click on the OK button at the bottom of the window.
Step 9: Click on the Restore Backup function.
Step 10: Select your backup file from the listing.
Step 11: Click on the Yes button to commence restoring your Kodi backup.
Step 12: You’re done, click the Yes button and then restart Kodi.
After restarting Kodi, you’ll find your backup restored as intended. If you don’t like what you see, you can always use factory restore Kodi back to its original state using our Indigo tool.
