We’re working quite hard towards bringing our community into the future and are honoured . As you know, we basically had to restart from scratch after our domains and social media accounts were stolen at the beginning of last summer. At our peak, we had about 39.5 million active users, after five years of existence. We now have about 19 million active users, after only six months. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but these numbers mean that we’re here for the long haul. Thank you tremendously to all of our users, developers and friends from around across the web.
If you’ve been following us closely, you’ll know that we’re working on strengthening the community through decentralization. We want to give more power to individual developers as well as to end users. This plan is already underway, and started with the release of our new Git Browser tool. Not only do users get to install anything they want, developers can now distribute their addons more easily, without having to worry about aligning themselves with us or any other web site to make things easier. Here’s to the future!
Please note that we do not allow for the collection of any statistics within Kodi addons, these numbers are only based solely on users connecting to our update server.
