The new Google Drive addon for Kodi will allow you to access files you have stored within your own cloud, as well as activate the ability to stream using powerful GVIDEO sources which you might remember using in the past. Google had made changes to their service which requires login in order to access these sources through their API. This is why many Kodi users may have noticed that GVIDEO links were no longer functional. If you'd like to access your Google Drive from directly within Kodi, or reactivate those amazing GVIDEO links, this tool is definitely for you. Google Drive for Kodi can be downloaded directly from the official Kodi addon repository. Once it has been installed, the Google Drive addon will connect directly to Google's API service. As soon as you have authenticated your device with Google's API, you will be able to browse your own cloud storage, content shared with you by others, along with content you've starred. You'll also be able to continue using GVIDEO sources within any of your favourite Kodi addons. Follow the guide below to get your Google Drive working in a matter of minutes. Required: Kodi 17.0 Krypton or Above Step 1: Click on the Add-ons tab from the vertical menu bar within Kodi. Step 2: Navigate to the little box icon at the top left corner of the Add-ons interface. Step 3: Choose the Install from repository function. Step 4: Select the Kodi Add-on repository from the listing. Step 5: Choose the Video add-ons category. Step 6: Select the Google Drive addon from the listing. Step 7: Click on the Install button at the lower right corner of the window. Step 8: Wait a few seconds for the Google Drive Kodi addon to download. Step 9: Return to the main Add-ons menu within Kodi. Step 10: Launch the Google Drive addon for the first time. Step 11: Click on the Add an account... function. Step 12: Follow the on-screen instructions on your computer or mobile phone web browser. This does not have to be done on your Kodi device! Step 13: Using your computer/mobile phone web browser, navigate to https://kodi-login.herokuapp.com and input the code you just received, then press the Next button. Step 14: Input the email address associated with your Google or Gmail account and then press the NEXT button. Step 15: Input the password to your Google or Gmail account and then press the NEXT button. This is on Google's site, your login details will not be seen by a third party. Step 16: Press the Advanced link when prompted that the app isn't yet verified. Step 17: Click on the link that says Go to kodi-login.herokuapp.com (unsafe) to proceed. Since the app is new, it hasn't yet been verified by Google. Step 18: Click on the ALLOW button to proceed. Step 19: Exit your web browser once notified that your authentication has been successful. Step 20: If you completed the authentication quickly enough, you should now see the Google Account Name listed, click it to continue. Otherwise, restart from Step 11 to retry. Step 21: Click on My Drive to navigate your Google Drive, or use any of the other browsing options. Enable in URLResolver Step 1: Navigate to the little settings cogwheel at the top left corner of your Kodi screen. Step 2: Select the System settings icon. Step 3: At the bottom left corner, click on the Settings Level which displays Standard, changing it to Advanced mode. Step 4: Select the Add-ons tab from the vertical menu bar. Step 5: Click on the Manage dependencies function. Step 6: Choose the URLResolver dependency from the listing. Step 7: Click on the Configure button. Step 8: Select the Resolvers 3 tab from the vertical menu bar. Step 9: Under the googledrive heading, enable the Use external GDrive addon if installed option. Step 10: Click on the OK button at the right of the window. Enable in ResolveURL Step 1: Navigate to the little settings cogwheel at the top left corner of your Kodi screen. Step 2: Select the System settings icon. Step 3: At the bottom left corner, click on the Settings Level which displays Standard, changing it to Advanced mode. Step 4: Select the Add-ons tab from the vertical menu bar. Step 5: Click on the Manage dependencies function. Step 6: Choose the URLResolver dependency from the listing. Step 7: Click on the Configure button. Step 8: Select the Resolvers 3 tab from the vertical menu bar. Step 9: Under the googledrive heading, enable the Use external GDrive addon if installed option. Step 10: Click on the OK button at the right of the window. You should now start seeing GVIDEO sources within your favourite Kodi addons functioning once again.
